We are a family of three in transition. We spent years being frugal and are now at a crossroad. We'd like to retire from our day jobs in two years or less. Our retirement goals are to provide our daughter with the best education she desires; travel; and find new careers - perhaps part-time that we really enjoy. I hope to post both "frugal" and "personal finance" information. NOTE: I am not a professional on either subject. My posts are purely entertainment :)

3/19 Expressions
Today's spring break special was to plant an "orchard" and "garden". We hit Home Depot with a $5 off $50 coupon and gift cards I got for signing up for the American Express Business Card months ago ($250). We got a pear and an apple tree. Lots of herbs, and a few flower plants. We still have plenty of the $ left on the giftcards. We felt Home Depot was a bit over-prices - so, we hit Wal-Mart next with the $40 American Express Gift Card I got from the Slimfast rebate. We got a couple of Hydrangea plants, plenty of bulbs, some concrete scallops to build our "boxes". We didn't purchase any seeds since we got those from Rite Aid 10 for $1. In the mail came some freebie magazines and a coupon for Old Spice Red Zone.
